wow
I know it's pretty easy to find wingunttery that's bizarre but this struck me as particularly special-- from the National Review, on Obama's "political origins" or uh, his parents (??):
And yet, all of my mixed race, black/white classmates throughout my youth, some of whom I am still in contact with, were the product of very culturally specific unions. They were always the offspring of a white mother, (in my circles, she was usually Jewish, but elsewhere not necessarily) and usually a highly educated black father. And how had these two come together at a time when it was neither natural nor easy for such relationships to flourish? Always through politics. No, not the young Republicans. Usually the Communist Youth League. Or maybe a different arm of the CPUSA. But, for a white woman to marry a black man in 1958, or 60, there was almost inevitably a connection to explicit Communist politics.
And later:
Time for some investigative journalism about the Obama family's background, now that his chances of being president have increased so much.
Oh my lord!

Wow! is right. Clips and republished bits of the Kinkaid red bait are spreading throughout the wing-nut blogosphere. Lisa Schiffren, by the way, was apparently a speech writer for Dan Quayle and is credited with the infamous "Murphy Brown" speech.
"It was, of course, an explicit tactic of the Communist party to stir up discontent among American blacks..."
Can't have them darkies gettin' all uppity now, can we?
The underlying racist mentality of the Right is bubbling up through their mental sludge!
Yeah, the CPUSA was at the forefront of the civil rights movement as well as the labor movement. So what. It wasn't a deep, dark secret.
What amazes me is that these dimwits still think of the CPUSA as some Stalinist plot.
The CPUSA is not hiding. It is well represented with several of its own web sites. The CPUSA doesn't support candidates because they are secret members of the Party but because that person is hoped to represent the masses and not corporate interests. This, of course, remains to be seen. Who is the CPUSA supposed to support? Ron Paul, who would be happy to see all social programs stripped from the federal government? Now, who is the stealth candidate?
It's getting worse too. They are starting to roll out the "Brack Hussein Obama" bit and I'm sure that Kenyan dress photo is going to find its way onto a lot of mailings that will be totally separable from the dignified McCain camp.
