a lack of happenings

Community members take note, pediatric oncology is not the stuff of casual bonfire conversations. A few related wonderings: when are we going to see micro RNA therapy? when are we going to see good protein folding predictions? my survey of community members leads to me this: 4-5 years- and it will require as-of-now-impossible computing power; I predict an autoimmune disease will be linked to disruption of innate immune functions (I don't mean as modulators, but I mean mutations as causitve agents, i.e. lupus due to lack of innate immune mediated clearance). I can't really imagine anyone is reading this, but Ari, if you are, check this dude out.

Scooter Libby fiction

Libby wrote to Judy Miller: “Out West where you vacation, the aspens will already be turning. They turn in clusters, because their roots connect them. Come back to work—and life." Weird right? That's nothing compared to the bestiality and incest in Libby's fictional work, "The Apprentice." Who are these people?

Insect Hall of Fame

In case you missed it, the Department of Entomology & Nematology at the University of Florida has a little list of Insect Records. I used to read the Guiness Book of World Records to calm me to sleep. I was afraid of sleeping. Shit, I still kind of am. You heard me.
