Blogging is fun

Collision sustains heel injury

A pal and I climbed over the fence surrounding McCarren Park pool and were treated with a magnificent scene- an empty wading pool capacious enough to fit thousands of mid century Pols, Italians, and other local fauna. So we investigated the large brick pool house (?); gazed upon beautiful dawn Brooklyn; I sprinted through the pool (it is so big, drained, it feels like one of those dried lakes in the American southwest where people test land rockets and stuff); we jumped through sprinkler things. On the way out I cavalierly dropped from the top of the fence, a drunken bit of acrobatics I now regret. My heel is messed up- Nomar I feel you.

Comfort radio

I've been vainly scouring blogs these days, looking for favorable mentions, and I came across Comfort Radio, whose stream I enjoyed all afternoon.

Scissorkick says hi

Scissorkick linked us and posted a very nice review. And DZUSA had to buy more bandwidth. So we got that going for us.

Go see The Juan MacLean

Danielle and I saw The Juan MacLean the other night at an invite-only show at the Tribeca Grand. For those who didn't already know this, "invite-only" means next to nothing. We showed up a bit early w/o invites to this fancy Tribeca hot spot, and they just let us in, FREE, no problemo. When we tried to order drinks we found out the place was serving free drinks for the next hour. I tipped the guy, breaking a 20-bill I had found in an atm cash slot earlier that day. Holy smokes, you should be hanging with us. Oh, and for what it's worth the show was one of the best I've seen in years. They rock a dope backdrop, a seemingly superfluous oscilloscope.

Large Hearted Boy

Many thanks to Large Heart Boy for a link to our jams. If you're interested in mp3 blogs, Large Hearted Boy is one of the best places to start. He rocks this "bitorrent brunch" thing which often features great bootlegs (e.g. Joanna Newsom at The Earl).

blah blah

I've been thinking about infinite alternate universes that are spawned when anything happens, and a new universe is made that houses each potentiality. every possibility in every stochastic event indulged. but not everything is evenly possible. so the alternate multiverses are distributed in a poisson-like fashion? like folding molecules, settling into their lowest delta G? i've also been thinking about pineapples, luck, and of montreal. how about you? what have you been thinking of?
